What is a guardian family?
The Guardian Family Network offers guardianship support to overseas students at UK independent boarding schools.
The GNet guardian families are professional people who have current or past experience of education.
We have a policy of one overseas child with one family so that you can be rest assured that the family will give your child the academic and emotional support that they require during their time at school in the UK.
They will attend parents’ evenings on your behalf, watch your child play in music concerts or sports matches and keep in regular contact with both you and your child so they can act quickly should any concern or issue arise.
How can we help?
What happens to my child during guardianship?
Your child will remain with the same guardian family throughout their time with us, meaning long-lasting, trusting relationships will grow as they progress through their time at school.
Indeed many children come to see their guardian as their ‘English’ family.
We are a dedicated team that communicates in a timely manner liaising between our partner agencies, schools and guardians to ensure that our students receive the best academic and pastoral support whilst they are studying in the UK.

Networking meeting in Surrey
What a lovely business she has … providing an important service to families across the globe, sending their children to the UK for their education.
She uses her integrity and caring nature, to source suitable guardians all over the UK, to host a child at a nearby boarding school.
This means she has an extensive filtering system to ensure the child is well matched to the guardian in their family life, interests and their values.
